About Me
I was born in Royal Oak, Michigan but moved to Milford, Michigan early on. I went to Milford High School and was on the Swim and Dive Team all four years. I attended Lawrence Technological University and joined Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority during my time there. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering in May 2013. I volunteer for a week every summer at the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan's Camp Discovery, a camp for kids with epilepsy. I am a runner, despite not enjoying running as much as swimming. I have completed a Warrior Dash, I ran a leg of the Detroit Free Press Marathon Relay in 2013, the International Half Marathon in 2014, and the relay again in 2015. This past summer I swam a 1.2 mile open water race. I love to visit new places and recently traveled to Greece, Disney World, NYC, and DC. I completed my Master's of Arts in Teaching at Wayne State University as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow in May 2016.
